DeteCV B

Why DeteCV-B

Warehouses are information-intensive organizations, where efficient tracking of both employees and other sensitive goods is required round the clock. Real Time Location (RTLS) systems can help improve the overall quality of preventive measures in such areas and also  check whether proper social distancing measures are followed, while being cost-effective at the same time.

In both scenarios, operators can be immediately alerted to contact the employee or send support. This solution would lead to a drastic improvement in the overall security of workers in high-risk industries and work spaces.

RTLS can effectively be deployed in workplaces to get a better understanding of how        employees are spending their time and using office facilities. This would give managers direct     feedback on how effectively their organization is running as well as provide valuable data to understand the company’s current needs. In this way, RTLS can offer new perspectives on both overall operations and individual employees.

EEGRAB presents a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) enabled wrist or neck wearable, along with added sensors like an accelerometer and gyroscope, all of which help in pinpointing the location of the person wearing the device with an accuracy of 1 to 2 metres. Each beacon-enabled wearable will be tracked by the sensors installed in the form of BLE gateways and other additional beacons to enhance the accuracy. The wearable is also equipped to send data back to the server, and the server in turn runs a tri-lateration algorithm along with pedometer data to detect the accurate location of the user.

The warehouse premises shall be segregated into multiple access zones for the sake of  better accessibility management. Employees will be identified using the access badges and given access to various demarcated zones within the warehouse.

The location information of each and every employee on an entire floor will be available for        monitoring on a web-based smart dashboard, where an administrator can easily see this data on a graphical user interface. The dashboard raises alerts for pre-defined anomalies, for example, if an employee stays at one place for an unusually long period of time or if someone tries to access any zone which is restricted for her. The dashboard is also        capable of calculating whether the distance between each pair of employees is within a safe range, which has been specifically mentioned by WHO for mitigating COVID-19 concerns.

Additionally, thermal cameras can also be installed at regular intervals on the whole floor. These cameras will help to monitor employees for abnormally high body temperatures, which is one of the most common symptoms for coronavirus, and raise alerts if necessary.

How DeteCV work

Its work in 3 simple Steps6

Manufacture a neck or wrist wearable for each employee. The device, consisting of a BLE tag, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and an RFID tag shall be assigned to each employee.

Create navigation maps as per the plan of the warehouse premises. Earmark navigation paths and restricted zones on the map. The beacons for BLE tags and other sensors shall be installed as per the site map in order to monitor the movement of employees.

Install smart locks in restricted areas and gates to ensure authorized access. RFID tags integrated with the wearables and biometric identification shall be used to verify the person.

Alarms will be raised on violation of access and the overall solution may be backed up by smart CCTV solutions, to check for tailgating and other types of insider assisted violations.

Additionally, install thermal cameras for better monitoring of body temperatures of employees.

Create a smart dashboard to make monitoring and checking the entire data easier for the admin.

  • A wearable designed for workers with BLE tags and other sensors.
  • A smart dashboard for monitoring location data, with social distancing rules embedded into it.
  • Alarms and alerts for anomalies found by the system.
  • Probing from the live video feed if any regional hotspot is created within the store floor. A regional hotspot can be defined as an area where people are seen to be gathering and violating distancing norms.
  • Thermal cameras to keep check of body temperatures.
