Each beacon-enabled wearable will be tracked by the sensors installed in the form of BLE gateways and other additional beacons to enhance the accuracy. The wearable is also equipped to send data back to the server, and the server in turn runs a tri-lateration algorithm along with pedometer data to detect the accurate location of the user.
The warehouse premises shall be segregated into multiple access zones for the sake of better accessibility management. Employees will be identified using the access badges and given access to various demarcated zones within the warehouse.
The location information of each and every employee on an entire floor will be available for monitoring on a web-based smart dashboard, where an administrator can easily see this data on a graphical user interface. The dashboard raises alerts for pre-defined anomalies, for example, if an employee stays at one place for an unusually long period of time or if someone tries to access any zone which is restricted for her. The dashboard is also capable of calculating whether the distance between each pair of employees is within a safe range, which has been specifically mentioned by WHO for mitigating COVID-19 concerns.
Additionally, thermal cameras can also be installed at regular intervals on the whole floor. These cameras will help to monitor employees for abnormally high body temperatures, which is one of the most common symptoms for coronavirus, and raise alerts if necessary.

Manufacture a neck or wrist wearable for each employee. The device, consisting of a BLE tag, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and an RFID tag shall be assigned to each employee.
Create navigation maps as per the plan of the warehouse premises. Earmark navigation paths and restricted zones on the map. The beacons for BLE tags and other sensors shall be installed as per the site map in order to monitor the movement of employees.
Install smart locks in restricted areas and gates to ensure authorized access. RFID tags integrated with the wearables and biometric identification shall be used to verify the person.
Alarms will be raised on violation of access and the overall solution may be backed up by smart CCTV solutions, to check for tailgating and other types of insider assisted violations.
